We are proud to announce that this year we will be hosting two Christmas events for the local community.
After the success of last year, we will once again be opening our doors on Christmas day to provide breakfast and activities to those who may be spending Christmas alone.
On the 20th of December, we will also be holding an over 50s Christmas lunch, for members of the local community to come and enjoy a 3-course meal and entertainment at the Tameside Stadium.
As a community club, this is our way of giving back to the people of Tameside this Christmas, we believe that football clubs have an obligation to be of benefit to the local community and this initiative demonstrates that this obligation is ongoing all year round.
Andy Cheshire, Community Development Manager, commented:
"Football clubs rely on the support of the local community throughout the year. By opening our doors this Christmas, we hope to give back to the local community by providing a cooked meal, some company and entertainment."
