Young midfielder Luke Merrill is the latest player to sign a new deal with the club, committing his future to Steve Cunningham's side.
Merrill, who made his Curzon first team debut in November 2018 following a successful spell in the youth team, has gone on to cement himself within the senior set-up.
Merrill, 19, scored his first goal for the club last August, on the opening day of the 2019/20 season, during a 5-0 win over Bradford Park Avenue.
The midfielder was also part of our youth team who completed their quadruple winning campaign during the 2018/19 season.
Curzon boss Steve Cunningham feels that local lad, Merrill possesses all the attributes to be a real asset for the club, having tied the youngster down for a further year.
He said: "I've been really impressed with what I've seen of Luke in pre-season so far and he's definitely putting himself in contention for the matchday squad. He's very comfortable on the ball, great athleticism, big in stature for a young lad and he carries himself really well in training amongst the more seasoned professionals in the group.
"Being a product of the youth set-up, it's a great advertisement for the football club to show that there is a pathway. He was able to make appearances last year under Mark Bradshaw and those experiences have given Luke an even better chance of cementing game time in the new season.
"Luke certainly fits the bill, he's a local lad, he's got the club in his DNA through his experiences of the youth set-up, he also coaches some of the junior teams and we're really pleased to be able to offer him another opportunity to be part of the club in a senior environment, to gain more matchday experience and to progress as a footballer, which we're all excited to see him do."
We wish Luke all the best this year!
