Curzon Ashton are delighted to announce the signing of Jake Dunwoody on loan from Stoke City until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old central midfielder signed professional terms with Premier League outfit Stoke in the summer after captaining the Potters’ Under-18 side to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
Jake has a wealth of experience at youth level, and was awarded his first cap for Northern Ireland’s Under-21 side against Estonia in May.
On his arrival, John Flanagan said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to agree a deal with Stoke City to sign Jake until the end of the season. I want to say thank you to James Hunter at Stoke for helping get the deal over the line. We’ll look after him like we do with all of our lads, and I’m sure both ourselves and Jake will benefit from his time with us.”
Jake is available for selection in this afternoon’s squad to face FC United at Broadhurst Park.
Everybody at the club would like to extend a warm welcome to Jake and wish him all the very best with his time here at the Tameside Stadium!
