After a recent approach for Danny Shaw, the club can confirm that the Curzon Ashton defender has committed to the club for the foreseeable future.
The board of directors along with the chief executive are delighted at the news regarding the future of a key player within the club.
Danny is a well respected role model to our juniors and all of our supporters and is a leading member of our squad both on and off the field.
In a statement from the Curzon Ashton manager, John Flanagan commented;
"Following an approach from Stockport County for one of our players, I'm delighted that Danny has chosen to commit to Curzon Ashton. Our ability and commitment to unearthing and developing players from lower leagues in a happy and respectful environment has, I'm sure, contributed to his decision."
"As we have witnessed from other recent instances, the grass isn't always greener and moving from a club where you are happy is often a big risk and I'm sure Danny considered this when making his decision."
"Danny is an intelligent lad and being in a happy environment was very important to him, in my opinion he's made the right decision and ultimately we're delighted he's staying."
