Alex began his career with the Everton youth ranks, before departing to Chorley. He has also spent time with Stockport County, Morecambe and Scunthorpe United amongst other teams. It was at Morecambe where Alex played most of his football, achieving promotion from League 2 in 2021.

Upon joining The Nash, Alex said: "Yeah, I'm excited. It's a new club for myself and I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead."

Alex credited a lot of his growth as a player to his time with Morecambe: "I spent eight, nine years with Morecambe and that progressed me a lot as a player," he added: "I'm looking forward to showing you all what I can do."

When asked what the fans can expect, Alex said: "I'm someone who doesn't mind getting my foot in and doing the dirty side of the game, but when I get the ball I like to get my foot on it and play."

He went on to say: "I am a more defensive-minded player than an attacking-minded player."

When asked about the impact playing at a higher level has had on his career, Alex said: "I'm hoping to bring experience and help players along their journey." He added: "I want to help this club climb this league, I've spoken to the gaffer and I'm excited with what he has planned."

Finally, Alex wanted to let the fans know: "Can't wait to get going and hopefully we can go on a good journey and finish as high up the table as we can!"
