 Club Statement - John Flanagan

The Club regret to announce that due to recent results a decision has been taken to replace John Flanagan as the Curzon Ashton Manager.

Over the past 7 years John has done a tremendous job, gaining two promotions resulting in Curzon playing at the highest level in its history.

We would like to thank John for his hard work over the years and wish him well for the future.

Commenting on the announcement, Chairman, Harry Twamley said:

"The decision to replace John Flanagan was not taken lightly. John did a great job for Curzon and his record is there for all to see.

"Curzon are not a sacking club and the board do not make knee jerk reactions. This is borne out by our only having three managers in the last 20 years, all of them were successful, demonstrating that the board made the right decisions each time.

"All the decisions the board make, we make with what we believe to be in the best interest of the club.

"We would like to put on record our thanks to John and Nev and we wish them all the best for the future."
