First-Half
The hosts started on the front foot as Adam Lund sent in a long throw from the right, which bounces around the box before finding danger man Jordan Thewlis at the far post, who sees his first attempt blocked by Devon Matthews, his second well-over the bar. The Nash would try to make way through the Reds as Adam Barton and Isaac Sinclair linked up on the edge of the area, the latter firing an effort low towards the bottom right corner, saved away by George Willis. Will Hayhurst would create the next opportunity for the visitors as Jimmy Spencer latches onto the end of his cross, laying the ball for Jordan Richards, who unfortunately hits his effort too high.
Second-Half
Jordan Thewlis would cause more issues for the Tameside club as he looped a cross in to the box, headed away to Liam Waldock, who hits from range, bending away from the top right corner and wide. The threat would continue as Jake Day drove forward, striking an effort from range is initially spilled by Josh Ollerenshaw but safely held in the end. Adam Lund would be back again with his long throws as he aims for the six-yard box, Nash keeper Josh Ollerenshaw unable to hold the initial ball, with it then falling for Nathan Newall, who fires over. The Nash would look to respond as they had a free-kick on the edge of the area, unfortunately the follow-up effort wasn’t threatening George Willis in the Alfreton goal.
